本标准涉及用于货物运输的最大质量超过3.5吨的卡车和拖车的后下部防护装置（RUPD）的要求。本标准不适用于铰接式车辆的牵引装置，也不适用于为运输木材、钢筋等长荷载而建造的特殊拖车。

This standard is concerned with the requirements for the rear underrun protective devices (RUPD) of trucks and trailers having maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes used for the carriage of goods. This standard does not apply to Traction units for articulated vehicles, special trailers constructed for the carriage of very long loads such as timber, steel bars etc.
