新修订标准的所有要求将被宣布为强制性要求。

Revision of the partially Mandatory Standard SI 60968, dealing with self-ballasted fluorescent lamps. This draft standard revision adopts the International Standard IEC 60968 - Edition 3.0: 2015-02, with a few changes that appear in the standard's Hebrew section. This edition includes the following significant technical changes concerning the previous edition, where additions have been made to the following:
Caps and prevention of cap misuse;
Interchangeability;
Mechanical and electrical strength;
Creepage distances and clearances;
End of lamp life precaution;
Abnormal operation;
Test conditions for dimmable and three-way lamps;
Water contact related marking;
Verification and assessment;
Information for luminaire design in the form of annexes.
All requirements of the new revised standard will be declared mandatory.
