The enclosed draft delegated act details the technical requirements applicable for the standardized access to automotive repair and maintenance information through manufacturer´s websites and the procedure of accreditation, approval and authorisation of independent operators to access to vehicle security features.
It also clarifies that: 1) actions leading to the reduction of emissions or safety performance of vehicles shall not be considered as a legitimate business activity; and that 2) the data stream provided through the OBD standardised connector shall comprise emissions, safety and repair and maintenance information, and can be used for related purposes.
