TITLE: Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedures for Cooking Products

AGENCY: Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy

ACTION: Notice of public meeting and extension of public comment period

SUMMARY: On 9 August 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") published in the Federal Register a notice of proposed rulemaking ("NOPR") to withdraw the test procedure for conventional cooking tops. The 9 August 2019 NOPR announced that the details of a public meeting would be provided in a subsequent notice published in the Federal Register and stated that public comments will be accepted until 8 October 2019. DOE is announcing that a public meeting will be held on 9 October 2019, which will also be available as a webinar. Given the date of the meeting, DOE is extending the public comment period for submitting comments and data on the NOPR by 14 days to 22 October 2019.

DATES: Meeting: DOE will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, 9 October 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The meeting will also be broadcast as a webinar. In addition, the comment period for the NOPR published on 9 August 2019 (84 FR 39211), is extended. DOE will accept comments, data, and information regarding this proposed rulemaking received no later than 22 October 2019.
